Life is Cheep
'Three chickens for a fiver!'
Bellowed the market stall holder.
I avert my eyes
From his three-for-one life buys.
Roll on the dawn of the GM factory hen.
No head, no feet, no nuisance waste of beak.
Just the meat and nothing but the meat, then.
