Ergo

Fear The Greeks

He boasted he had an Id

Not an Ego,

And soon he'll have a card

To prove it.

oooh I wasn't expecting to see male bits and bobs.

It would be rather fun if people had to pose naked for their id cards. Actually on second thoughts perhaps it wouldn't be.

The Greeks and their warrior statues--my oh my :-) However, better than the bombastic, crude Romans--much prefer the Etruscans: more honesty in their art I think. Hell, they all showed their nekkid bits in those days--maybe in some ways they were more honest than we are with our Victorian hold-overs. Not that I dislike the Vics--oh my no! Great art with the Pre-Raphaelites and my favorite Eddie Burnes-Jones.
Gosh he painted some incredible things and his last painting of Arthur's sleep in Avalon is magnificent--I so wish I lived in England so that I might view it--I could look for hours and never reach the end of it. And of course their literature: Especially the Brontes and George Eliot. Love John Fowles great take on the Victorian novel in The French Lieutenant's Woman. Lovely blog by the way--thank you. :-)

A wonderful specimen of a man. But if they really are being so honest, how come their hair is always perfectly coiffed? Those ringlets on their heads don't look as though they woke up looking like that. ;)

Teni: no bad hair days in Greece I guess lol

Tee hee! Love the way the guy in the suit is positioned just under his crotch...

(Thanks for visiting).

That's the smallest Id I've ever seen!

Shame on you RB! I for one don't even want to see clothed ID cards, let alone naked ones! I'd sooner have 'Made in Britain' stamped on my bottom!

Thanks for dropping by with your adroit observations Beau in Seattle! A man after my own heart re the Victorian sentiments, though in the Greek nekkid v Victorian clothed stakes, I prefer a bit of mystique myself! Thanks also for the blog compliment - I try!

I think it's called 'artistic licence' Teeni!

Or perhaps they just used lots of grease anon.

Lucy, cheers for the fly-by - yes I was tickled by the ludicrous posturing of the statue, juxtaposed by the non-plussed museum visitor ignoring it!

Moi - you could be right!

Steve - apparently a large Id was regarded as vulgar in Roman times!

The naughty bits are quite tidy, actually Laura, did you take the pic?
I really like the positioning of The Man in the Crotch.
Well done.
